Cain and the others who had been at the audience were all gazing at an uninhabited island in the sea by the coast.

“Cain-sama, please show these skeptics your power.”

Seto said, laughing, making Cain smile bitterly.

Then, Cain looked at the island in the sea with a sigh.

A little while earlier.

Chaos broke out at Seto’s words.

One boy could destroy the demon countries.

It was shocking and ridiculous.

Even if one spoke of Seto, the Demon King, such a feat was impossible.

There was a lot of criticism towards Seto, who had said it so easily.

“We’ll show you proof. Then, you’ll be convinced.”

So, Seto, Lisabeth, and the rest of the higher-ranking nobles all got in carriages, and arrived at the coast some two hours later.

They all followed Seto, muttering ‘What a waste of time…’

Simplistic tents and simplistic spectator seats had already been prepared and put up at the coast.

Cain glanced at Seto with reproachful eyes, but Seto looked away with the hurriedness of someone whose plan had been found out.

As if he had known it would turn into this from the very start.

“Well, Cain-sama, if you show them your power with a bang, even they won’t be able to say anything.”

As the two of them had stepped away from the rest, Seto had returned to calling him ‘Cain-sama’ from ‘Cain-dono’, making Cain sigh.

“So you want me to shoot magic at that island over there…”

“Indeed. It’s an uninhabited island, so it only has monsters living on it. Moreover, if it’s left unattended, the monsters will eventually make their ways over here.”

The island was about two kilometers in diameter, and one kilometer offshore.

Seto explained to Cain that only monsters lived on the island, but that they crossed the sea and headed towards the city from time to time, so there were always guards stationed at the gates to keep a lookout day and night.

“––Got it. So it’s fine no matter what happens to that island, right.”

“Yes, it doesn’t matter. So if you could shoot magic and make it go boom in the very center of the island…”

The spectating higher-ranking nobles were also waiting eagerly in order to ascertain Cain’s true power.

Cain glanced at Lisabeth, who seemed to have been looking at him the whole time, making their eyes meet.

Lisabeth was smiling cheerfully, which made Cain smile a bit too.

“Well, I guess I can try…”

Cain used magic, and he floated up into the air.

Then, floating in the air halfway between the coast and the island, he started gathering his magical power.

“I wonder if Emperor-Rank would be okay to use here…”

The magic he was going to use was Emperor-Rank.

Cain had never used it until then.

Although perhaps saying that he had had no opportunity to use it would have been more correct.

Having carefully read through both the documents he had received left behind by Yuuya, as well as the list of magic he had gotten from Leno, the God of Magic, he knew how to use the magic.

Raising both his hands, he chanted the spell.

An extraordinary amount of magical power was released from his hands.

And, simultaneously with that, appearing high up in the sky, –– was a meteor.

Unlike the shooting stars in a meteor shower, it was just one, single clump of rock.

However, its size was unmatched, and while it was still only faintly visible, the lump of rock was heading directly for the island.

But, the huge rock was still high up, so it was not visible from the audience seats.

Only a few of the highest-ranking nobles were aware of it.

However, a lot of them had noticed Cain’s amount of magical power, and some even fell from their seats, trembling from fear.

Then, appearing in the sky –– was a single lump of rock.

As it got closer, the lump of rock cast a shadow.

The spectators who hadn’t noticed Cain’s amount of magical power, finding it strange that the place they were at was suddenly in shade, looked up.

–––– And then they all froze.

A mass of rock, moving into their field of view. Its size was not much different from the uninhabited island before them.

Then, in front of the still-frozen audience, it impacted the uninhabited island.

Vibrations came through the ground, accompanied by the sound of impact. The ground shook as if in a large earthquake, but as Cain was floating in the air, he was only hit by the sound.

Also, simultaneously with the collision, a huge tsunami occurred.

“This is bad…”

The huge tsunami, tens of meters high, was rushing towards the coast.

If it reached the coast like that, even if they were demons, they wouldn’t escape harm.

Cain instantly cast another spell, making the seawater rise up like a wall and cancel out the tsunami.

Once the tsunami was gone, Cain undid his magic with a sigh of relief.

What he saw was a huge amount of dust rising up, blocking his view of the uninhabited island.

Using wind magic, Cain sent the dust flying off.

Then, what came into view was, where the uninhabited island had been previously, a huge rocky mountain which had become a new uninhabited island.

The trees had all been blown away, and now the huge rocky mountain was what stuck out of the sea.

The rock had been bigger than Cain had imagined, so he glanced at Seto, thinking he might have done it wrong.

However, unexpectedly, Seto was even smiling.

“So, what do you think? This is Cain-dono’s power. This much power, just with one spell. What do you think would happen if he aimed it at a city? And then he also has the power to counteract that huge tsunami. He defended against that large-scale tsunami, yet his magical power shows no sign of exhaustion. I’ll ask again. Could people confident they would win in a fight against Cain-dono step forward?”

No-one refuted Seto’s words anymore.

Some had collapsed on the ground, holding their heads, while others were simply speechless.

And, in the silence, one person applauded *clap* *clap* *clap*.

“I got to see something good. Coming here with Cain was the correct choice after all.”

In the midst of all the stunned higher-ranked nobles, Lisabeth laughed to herself alone.

Then, the corners of her mouth rising, she continued.

“This should stop the war.”

Seto was the only one who nodded at Lisabeth’s words.
