Logsia frowned at Seto’s declaration.

He glared at Seto, who didn’t budge at all, however. For Seto, nothing was scarier than being hostile to Cain.

“All nobles in my territory have already come to the decision not to go to war no matter what. Even if you intend to do so, Your Highness, it will not be overturned.”

Seto had no intention of backing down, and he continued looking at Logsia with a serious expression.

“…Even if that were my intention?”

“Yes, we will not go back on our words. ––Even if all demon countries turned hostile to us.”

Logsia cleared his throat at Seto’s words. Up until then, Seto had never expressed a dissenting opinion towards the crown prince.

However, Logsia folded at Seto not changing his opinion no matter what and not looking away.

Logsia looked away first, sighing loudly.

“…I understand your view on the matter, Seto-dono. If we go to war, your friendship with Cain-dono next to you will break. That’s how good friends you are.”

“No, that is not what I mean to say. I don’t oppose war with the humans. I –– am saying I will never be hostile toward Cain.”

“!? That much… Why is there a need to be so concerned about Cain-dono in particular? He might be a fully-fledged noble, but he is still a child.”

Seto heaved a huge sigh at Logsia’s words, glanced at Cain, and then looked back at Logsia.

“Because if we come to a state of hostility with Cain-dono, the demons’ –– defeat will already be certain.”

Logsia became furious at those words, and standing up, he slammed his fist on the table.

“Are you saying that our empire would lose against this one child! Say that then, Seto!”

“……Yes, that is right. Your Imperial Highness.”

Seto knew Cain’s true power. No, actually he didn’t think he knew all of Cain’s power.

However, just with the amount Seto knew of, Cain was stronger than Seto himself, no, he would not lose no matter which demon were to be his enemy.

That was because he had been told something by Cain previously.

That fragments of the Evil God sealing him in were scattered all over the world, and that while the ones swallowed up by their power were given a great magical power, they couldn’t control it and ran rampant.

Whether they were monster or person…

If something like that happened in a human country, Cain could deal with it, but if something like that happened in a demon country, Cain couldn’t come running.

That’s why Cain had told this to Seto, telling him to call him if something along those lines ever happened.

And while even Seto was doubtful of those words, Cain had then shown his Status to Seto.

––The act of divulging one’s Status.

Among both humans and demons, it was common sense only to do so to people one really trusted.

When Cain had shown Seto his Status, while surprised by its contents, ––––Seto had cried from happiness.

It appeared that he was overjoyed that Cain trusted him that much.

Moreover, Cain had the titles of the Gods’ Apostle and Demigod.

He knew it would be the height of stupidity to be hostile to Cain.

Seto held an absolute trust towards Cain, who had gone that far for him, and he would thus never be hostile to Cain, who had even called him a ‘friend’.

Logsia sat down powerlessly, folding under Seto’s unwavering expression.

“––So he is that big of a deal, Cain-dono is…”

Seto nodded without saying anything.

“I also oppose the war with the humans. And if you still intend on going to war, be you my brother or not, –––– I will pull you down from that throne.”

At not only Seto’s, but also Lisabeth’s expression of opposition, not to mention the fact that she had even declared she would take the seat of crown prince from him, Logsia made a surprised face.

At the two’s words, Logsia was also starting to guess that Cain wasn’t just some noble.

Logsia looked at Cain with clumsy movements.

“…Cain-dono, please answer honestly. If, if we went to war with the humans, what would happen…?”

Cain made a serious face at Logsia’s question, then opened his mouth to answer.

“…If even a single person from a human country, no, from a town is harmed, I will make you all go home. Although –– I don’t know if you will have a country left to return to.”

Cain answered, slightly exaggerating.

There was no way Seto and Lisabeth would allow genocide, and Cain also had no intentions of committing one.

However, that didn’t mean he couldn’t.

Logsia, not knowing the true meaning of Cain’s statement, gulped from nervousness at what he had said.

“…All right. My opinion alone will not prevail, but I will take your words to heart. I have plans to discuss the future from now on, so Cain-dono, I would appreciate it if you could stay in the castle. Lisa, could I ask you to take care of him?”

“Yes, onii-sama, I would be happy to.”

As opposed to the nervous Logsia, Lisabeth accepted, smiling sweetly.

Due to it taking a couple days to get all the Demon Kings together, it was decided that Cain would stay in the castle as a state guest.

Seto had a mansion in the city, and he was planning on staying there, but when Cain had tried to accompany him, he had been turned down due to him visiting as a state guest.

“Naturally, as the crown prince has invited you to the castle as a state guest, I can’t take you to my mansion.”

While Cain had been a little shocked at being turned down, he eventually agreed that as the representative of the Kingdom of Esfort, he couldn’t act all selfish.

However, Lisabeth was always in the room Cain was given, always with him.

Naturally she couldn’t say she wanted to stay in a guest room overnight, but she often stayed there right until Cain went to sleep.

Then, a few days had passed, and, with the crown prince and Demon Kings from all over the demon world included, a meeting would be held.
