The people who had been watching the fight unfold on the stage while holding their breaths were surprised to see Logsia stand up again.

He had been stabbed through the chest right in front of them. It wouldn’t have been strange if it had been an instant death.

But, although his clothes were torn, he didn’t seem injured at all.

Logsia glanced at Lisabeth, nodded, and then stood in the middle of the stage.

“Everyone, sorry for causing you worry. I am uninjured thanks to Sir Cain. Even I didn’t think the three Demon Kings were plotting a war. No, I knew, but ignored it. However, thanks to this bout of bad luck, you have also all come to know. Sir Cain is a trustworthy human. I would like to become friends with him not as the representative of this country, but as an individual.”

The audience cheered at Logsia’s words.

Cain smiled at the cheering crowd, then made eye contact with Lisabeth, and they both nodded.

However, unable to accept this –– the Demon King Agus, even while being held down by Seto, pulled out a fragment even larger than the ones the other two had swallowed from his breast pocket with one hand and swallowed it.

“…I will never accept that. I will unify all the demons… uggh… guaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!”

Letting out a remarkably loud scream, Agus’ blood vessels rose upwards, beginning to pulsate.

His muscles also gradually swelled, and he easily shook off Seto with one hand.

“Guh”

Sending Seto flying, Agus, his body now twice as large as before, slowly stood up.

“Uhahahahahahahaha! This is it. Now this is power! Power is the sign of a Demon King! It is not something to be handed down through blood. Power is everything for demons! That is why I will rule everything…”

Still standing, Agus’ eyes rolled back into his head as he lost consciousness.

However, a few seconds later, the white-eyed face slowly smiled.

“Oh dear, he lost consciousness, eh. Well, I can act freely like this, so it’s better… Hm? You’re… ah, long time no see. Still being the old man’s Apostle, eh?”

Agus’ voice was completely different from before.

The voice of a young boy came from the over-three-meter-tall body.

And it was a voice Cain didn’t want to hear at all.

––It was the same as back then with Corgino…

“…No way, ––Aaron…”

Agus laughed fearlessly at Cain’s words.

“I might look like this for now, but I’m still a god…”

However, Logsia and Lisabeth became speechless at the two’s conversation.

The man they had thought was Agus was called Aaron, and called himself a god.

Demons also knew of the gods, but they worshipped the imperial family even more than them. But, as members of the imperial family, the two knew of the gods.

“…No way, a god has descended…”

Cain shook his head at Logsia’s whisper.

“Aaron was originally the God of Games, but now –– he’s an Evil God.”

“E-Evil God…?”

Cain nodded at the words that came in response from Logsia. Then, he pulled out his sword from his Item Box and pointed it at Agus.

“You’re pointing your sword at me? I’ll be able to move better than ever before, although maybe not perfectly, so do you still think you’re strong enough?”

Aaron, who had hijacked Agus’ body, raised one of his hands, black mist starting to break forth from it, which then gradually changed its shape into that of a sword.

A sinister black miasma overflowed from the sword, making Cain grimace.

“You two get away from here. Seto, please evacuate them. Tell the crowd to run as well.”

The three of them nodded at Cain’s words and got down from the stage.

Seto was shouting at the crowd to run away, at which they split up and ran in all directions.

Meanwhile, Cain and Agus were staring at each other, neither moving at all.

A few minutes later, the huge crowd was nowhere to be seen. Readjusting his grip on his sword, Cain pointed its tip towards Agus.

Using body strengthening, he closed in to Agus in an instant, slashing with his sword, but Agus easily stopped it. The two stopped moving as they clashed with each other.

“Hmm. It seems you are strong enough. Merely an Apostle. But, I wonder if that much will really be able to defeat me?”

He lightly swung his sword, and Cain was thrown away.

Landing on his feet, Cain’s face distorted into the expression of having swallowed something really sour at facing an enemy stronger than any he had faced before.

Even though Cain had improved his physical abilities more than usual by further putting in magical power, as expected of a god, Aaron crossed swords with him, completely unfazed.

The destructive power of their countless colliding strikes created such air pressure that it destroyed the surrounding buildings.

“…Even this won’t work… Just how strong is he…”

Cain put more magical power into his hand holding his sword, challenging Agus, who crossed swords with him without difficulty.

While Cain had backed away for a little to think about how to go about attacking, Agus muttered.

“Ah… it’s the time limit… I have no choice then. Let’s meet again, the old man’s Apostle.”

At that moment, the sinister sword in Agus’ hand –– disappeared.

The intimidating aura from earlier disappearing, Agus looked at Cain full of bewilderment.

“…What. What… happened to me?”

Cain breathed out in relief when Agus, puzzled as to how he was standing there, came back.

“He was unconscious…? Perfect.”

Cain moved behind Agus in an instant, and, with a single blow to his head, knocked him out.

Having lost his consciousness, Agus fell forward.

“…Gods really are strong…”

Cain muttered while looking down at the unconscious Agus.
