Bishop Harnam and the others set off on their return journey to Esfort a week after Denter had been appointed the new pope.

From the day after Pope Denter’s inauguration, he had been busy arresting the people who had been involved in the attacks.

When he had time, he spent it chatting with Cain, but since it would be bad if Pope Denter bowing his head to Cain, just a simple bodyguard, were seen, they always chatted in a private room.

Denter tried to Convince Bishop Harnam to become a cardinal saying that he would be asked to help out in Esfort if he did so, but Harnam resolutely refused.

‘Spending my time watching Cain-sama’s deeds in Esfort is more enjoyable,’ he had said.

Their way home was a safe journey where nothing happened. They stayed a night in the city of Genesee on the way, but it seemed the priest who had greeted them on their way to the holy capital had also been involved in the attacks and had thus been arrested, and a different priest had been despatched.

Then, the biggest problem had been the first town in Esfort they passed through, Silbesta.

Count Ragnaf was over the moon that Bishop Harnam’s older brother, Cardinal Denter, had been made the new pope. He had tried to hold a flashy congratulation party, but Bishop Harnam had managed to calm him down, and it turned into simply a modest party.

Cain had left Count Ragnaf to Bishop Harnam and relaxed.

A few days later, Cain and the others arrived in the royal capital safely, completing their missions as bodyguards.

“…So then, what do you have to say in your defence? Hmm, Cain?”

Surrounded by the king, Duke Eric, and Magna in the royal castle’s reception room, Cain shrugged.

“…No, all I did was convey the gods’ words in a slightly exaggerated manner…”

Bishop Harnam had told the king everything that had happened in Marineford, and Cain had been called in for a hearing.

“So then… you made Transfer Mirrors. Do you know what would happen if those things spread out everywhere?”

In fact, no one other than Cain could make them, but just their existence alone was a problem.

The king made Cain promise to never speak about them.

“I won’t make any again, okay?”

“No, well… They might, just might, come in useful. For example, if we ever have to flee. So…”

Cain said he wouldn’t make them again, but he also understood that the Transfer Mirrors could be very helpful in an emergency.

And it would be great for the king to have insurance that allowed him to escape in case of an emergency.

Thus, the king couldn’t make up his mind.

“…Your Majesty. Why don’t you just say what you’re thinking? That you want him to make them as needed…”

Magna advised in a dumbfounded manner.

“Well, so, Cain… Could you make one more pair just in case they’re ever needed? I will, of course, never tell anyone.”

“…Understood. Since it’s a request from Your Majesty.”

Cain created a pair of mirrors on the spot.

“Mhm. Splendid. We can’t pay for this from the national budget, but I will make arrangements for them to be paid for with my personal money.”

The king had actually been planning on getting angry with Cain, but he had lost to temptation, and Cain managed to survive.

Three beautiful girls were sitting on a sofa in the office of the Silford residence in the royal capital.

Telestia, Silk, and Liltana had forced Cain, who hadn’t been to school in a long time, to let them accompany him back to his mansion.

Since Cain had pushed his way into his office saying he had to work, the three of them were having a tea party not in the reception room, but on the sofa in the office.

Moreover, they had decided to call Lisabeth, who had also recently become Cain’s fiancée over, so Cain had Transferred to Drintor to go get her.

With the four girls there, the topics of conversation were inexhaustible.

Cain continued working while listening to their excited voices going ‘kyaa kyaa’ in the background.

“…Cain-sama…huh? Eh!?”

“What’s up, Teles? Eh!?”

Hinata suddenly appeared from the mirror standing next to Cain’s desk, surprising the group of girls.

“Oh, Cain-sama. I have come…”

Cain facepalmed and looked up at the heavens at this very worst of timings.

“Cain-sama. Could you tell me just what the meaning of this is?”

“Cain-kun, you will tell us all about it, right?”

“Cain, she’s the Saint, right? How?”

“Ahahahaha, another one of Cain’s harem members. This is funny”

The smiling Lisabeth’s voice rang out in the office as she looked at Cain, who was encircled by Telestia, Silk, and Liltana.
