Cain was puzzled by Darmeshia suddenly kneeling and bowing his head.

Apart from when he had become Cain’s servant, he had never treated someone this way.

However, looking down on Darmeshia from the sofa, Lisabeth’s eyes narrowed.

“You seem to know who I am… Are you one of us?”

Darmeshia’s shoulders trembled a little at those words, and he lowered his head even more.

“Hey, to make Darmeshia act like that, Lisa, you are…?”

Lisabeth’s face relaxed a little at Cain’s words.

“Don’t mind that. You are the saviour of my life, anyway.”

“…Okay.”

Standing up, Darmeshia prepared black tea for them and placed the cups in front of both of them.

“I also slipped out of there with no warning, so I have to go back soon. Please relax in this mansion for a short while at least. But –– if you can disguise yourself like Darmeshia, could you please do so? It’d really surprise the other servants otherwise.”

Putting her hand on her chin and thinking for a short while, Lisabeth nodded, smiling.

“It is my benefactor’s request, after all. I can not simply ignore that. All right.”

She said, after which she chanted something under her breath, and, as her horns disappeared, sitting there was Lisabeth, with her pure white, beautiful, straight hair making her an unprecedented beauty no matter who were to look at her.

Cain unintentionally gasped at her beauty.

“Thanks for doing that. You’ll be told the details if you just ask Darmeshia. But still, Lisa, you’re…”

And as for Darmeshia’s treatment of her earlier, Cain had now also understood that she was definitely a demon-king-class being.

“I am the princess of my country, but I do not do anything. I am free.”

Cain looked at Darmeshia, who lowered his chin ever so slightly, signalling that that was correct as far as he knew.

“So then, you know Seto…?”

At those words, Lisabeth’s eyes widened just a little.

“I do know Seto-dono. I see, are you a subordinate of Seto-dono? But still, Cain, do you not hold any abhorrence towards demons?”

“Why should I? Demons, like elves or beastmen, are just another race, aren’t they? And they only look slightly different anyway, in my opinion…”

Lisabeth burst out laughing at Cain’s answer.

“Ahahahaha! Is that so, is that so. You think like that. All right. Anyway, calling Seto-dono ‘Seto’ does not seem like something a subordinate would say…? And he is a ‘Demon King’ as well…”

“Ummm, I’d say he’s something like a friend… He’s always helping me; he was the one who introduced Darmeshia to me and asked him to work in this mansion as well.”

As the two of them happily chatted away, Darmeshia broke out in a cold sweat. He knew Lisabeth’s true identity. And what position she had amongst the demons. However, if the person in question didn’t say so, nor Cain ask, Darmeshia could not speak either.

“You’re telling me you are ‘friends’ with a demon king. You’re quite funny. How about it? Can I –– also become one of those ‘friends’?”

“Yeah, sure.”

Answered Cain, holding out his hand.

“What is this supposed to be…?”

Cain tilted his head in confusion at Lisabeth’s question.

“Don’t you know what a handshake is? We shake each other’s hands. It’s like a greeting between friends. Come on, hold your hand out!”

Lisabeth confusedly held out her hand, which Cain then grabbed and shook.

“Like this.”

Looking down at the still-ongoing handshake, Lisabeth’s cheeks relaxed a little.

“So this is called a handshake. It’s not a bad thing. It was my first time doing one.”

Letting go of each other’s hands, they both sat down, and Cain explained about what would happen next.

“You can stay here for the night, but I’ve got to return to that place from earlier for a bit, so you can just take it easy. Darmeshia, could you please prepare a room for her?”

“Understood. I shall do so immediately.”

Cain, having left Lisabeth in Darmeshia’s capable hands, Transferred away.

Just the two of them left in the room, a smile made its way onto Lisabeth’s face.

“Darmeshia, was it? Cain is quite the interesting being, is he not? I will be imposing for a little while, I think.”

At Lisabeth’s words, Darmeshia bowed low.

“I am deeply humbled and shall do my utmost to fulfil this great role entrusted to me, Your Imperial Highness.”

“All right, thank you. Firstly… might I ask you for some food? I did not receive anything proper to eat…”

At those words, Darmeshia immediately ran off to prepare a meal.

Silence ruled over the arena where the two had disappeared from.

A mysterious man and a demon had suddenly disappeared. Also, Garms had been made unconscious in one hit.

“……Just what was that…?”

The commentator’s voice echoed out across the silent venue.

Then, watching from the stands, Telestia and the others did the same.

“What just happened… That Garms-san, he said he was the strongest in this whole country…”

“…Yeah, he did say that.”

Liltana answered Telestia’s question.

Silk was silently thinking about something.

Staff members entered the arena, and, using healing magic on Garms, they put him on a stretcher and carried him out.

Then, the commentator continued on.

“Umm… There’s a message from the organisers. That’s gonna be it for today. Take care on your way home, everyone.”

The unsurprised spectators stood up from their seats one after the other at the sign that the show was over, and made their ways home.

That was when the door opened and Cain returned.

“Maaan, the restroom was crowded… sorry for making you wait. Wait, what? It’s over already…?”

Seeing the spectators going home from the VIP seats, Cain tilted his head in confusion.

“Cain-sama, you’re late! There was a huge problem!”

“Really… man, I missed it…”

Smiling bitterly, Cain scratched his chin.

“Well then, the viewing is over, so let’s head to the next place.”

At the teachers’ words, all the students stood up.

While it was a little earlier than planned, they were to head for their next location.

Cain followed the teachers’ lead, walking along with the other students. As he was doing so, someone tapped his shoulder, making him turn around.

Standing there was –– Silk, smiling.

“What’s up Silk?”

At those words, Silk smiled even more, then whispered in his ear.

“Cain-kun, earlier, –––– that was you, right? Teles and the others didn’t notice though. Tell me about it later, okay.”

And with those words, she ran up to Telestia’s position.

“…How did she find out…?”

Stunned, Cain stayed standing on that spot until the staff called out to him.
