In a corner of the office was a pile of documents awaiting processing.
Next to them, the young man sitting at his desk and earnestly checking their contents then stamping them was –– Alec von Silford.
When he had heard the territory’s lord’s, Cain’s crazy plan, he had thought it would take tens of years for it to be completed, but the city was expanding with an unexpected speed.
But, if the city became bigger, there would also be more jobs he had to pay for.
Initially, Alec had been tongue-tied at how unexpectedly smart Lula, who had made architectural and other plans as an internal affairs officer, was.
The plan that had surprised him the most was when she had said to build a castle in Drintor and other such ridiculous things, but then making full use of Cain’s magical power, they had completed it all in just a few months.
The castle was so beautiful that even Alec couldn’t help but think ‘So there was another genius here.’
Actually, Lula, who had majored in architecture in her past life, had only taken all the good parts of castles that remained in her memories from her hobby of visiting foreign castles all around the world, but the residents of this world would not be able to know that.
Furthermore, just by asking Cain, he could use ‘World Dictionary’, with which he could then give her all the correct answers she needed, which then made the castle turn out as it had.
Cain, the lord of the territory, was still a student. So, Alec had basically become the person who managed the whole city.
And even while he was only half-convinced, Alec proceeded with the settlement of the documents.
In the castle called the lord’s residence, the number of servants had also increased. While he wouldn’t have been able to keep up with such rapid developments, Alec had left everything from their recruitment to education to Darmeshia, so they now had an excellent line-up, with no problems so far.
And in the very midst of that busy schedule, the talks about his engagement were also proceeding bit by bit.
Less than a few months later, he would be marrying Leline. Next to the lord’s castle residence, such a fine deputy governor’s residence had been newly built that it would not have been an overstatement to have called it the lord’s residence in other cities, so the preparations to welcome his wife were already finished.
He had tried sounding it out a week or two earlier, and the accommodation of the students from the royal academy had gone without any trouble, with both teachers and students alike being satisfied and departing from the city for the Republic of Ilstin.
While when Cain and Lula had exchanged opinions they had decided it was quite basic, Alec had thought about how the meal-eating style1 he couldn’t even have imagined until then and being able to actually eat the cooking warm would come in useful in the future.
The two of them had talked about things Alec hadn’t been able to understand, but they had simplified it down and then explained it to him again. Being quite intelligent, Alec had easily absorbed it all.
As he was doing the settlements, there was a knock on the door and Lula hurried into the office.
And, the first thing she said was––––
“Cain-sama has brought a woman with him! And she’s really beautiful as well!”
“W-What!?”
Alec sprang up from his chair.
He knew about Cain’s transfer magic. But schedule-wise, he was still supposed to be in the capital of Ilstin.
While Alec understood that he could come back immediately, Cain had said he would try to stay with the other students as much as he could and not come back to Drintor, so it would be no problem…
And then Cain had come back. With a beautiful woman in tow…
“Cain-sama might be intending to increase the number of his wives again…”
Alec sighed at Lula’s words.
Because polygamy was allowed in Esfort, it was technically not a problem. And with Cain’s economic power, even tens of wives would be no problem.
However, Cain’s fiancées were a princess and two dukes’ daughters. Also, even the Saint had declared that she would marry Cain.
There weren’t many women who could just join in with that.
“…So then, what to do…”
While Alec was worrying, there was a knock on the door, breaking his train of thought.
Being given permission, Darmeshia entered the room.
“Alec-sama, I am thinking of assigning our guest to one of the highest-grade rooms. Is that all right?”
A question posed itself in Alec’s mind.
The castle’s guest rooms were divided into a number of grades. From the highest-grade rooms, which would be able to accommodate members of Esfort’s royal family, state guests, and foreign countries’ royalty as well, through high-grade nobles’ rooms for higher-ranked nobles, to low-grade nobles’ rooms for lower-ranked nobles.
Alec couldn’t comprehend why Darmeshia wanted to assign the woman Cain had brought with him to the highest-grade rooms.
“Darmeshia, is the woman Cain brought with him that important of a person…?”
“––Yes, Alec-sama, you know I am a demon, don’t you. The guest Cain-sama brought with him is––––”
After Darmeshia finished explaining, Alec facepalmed and looked up at the heavens.
“That’s exactly an ‘oh! my god!’”
Alec tilted his head in confusion at Lula’s words and asked her about what she meant.
“Lula, what’s this omagad…?”
“Ah, simply put, it’s something like ‘What the hell!’”
“…It really is exactly one of those…”
Alec chuckled.
“So, then…”
“Yes, please give her the utmost hospitality. You would probably be better at that than me. Please tell the maids as well.”
“Thank you very much. I will make the arrangements immediately.”
Darmeshia bowed gracefully, then left.
“––I was worried he might cause some trouble, but it feels like he just dropped a bomb here…”
“It’d be nice if it ended with just this…”
Alec and Lula both heaved huge sighs and prayed that Cain wouldn’t cause any further problems.

That thing you can’t think of a name for as part of the buffet could be either a chafing dish (those metal rectangular pan that sits on a deeper water filled pan over a flame) which you could also call a warming tray, or a heat lamp.

I would find it hilarious if he just went and kept bringing back “Women” he’s saved into the castle all the while doing the “world tour” thinking “It’ll all be fine, I’ll just let Alec and Darme take care of it” and then having to deal with EVERYONE himself when he gets back hahaha

Or Hiiragi Seichi with his harem of twelve (as far as I read and not all official but they are either apart of his party or pursuing him or have feeling for him (literally includes a gorilla and donkey who gained human forms, the knight commander of the valkyries, his two childhood friends, a Medusa, an adventurer from the first town, the demon lords daughter, an empress, who also offered up her sister and two subordinates, and more to coma (and no I am not including Olga she is the little sister character),Tenjou Yuuya (who I can’t remember all of them but it is up there and though none are confirmed yet some have proposed or admitted their feelings for him), or Wazu (who, though I haven’t been able to find a good place to read it, in the LN had a bigger harem and basically has all his wifes following behind him in carriages as he travels trying to find someone to be his friends and build a harem (a plan proposed to him by the dragon king) though he doesn’t know they love him or are chasing after him until the later parts.)

For a localized naming convention, it’s probably the same as a Hot Bar, which is how buffets typically keep the hot food hot (usually with covered until use metal containers over heated water) much like a catering company or restaurant would use.

so far it’s 6, there is no more in the raw right now, but the story isn’t finished
it’s like the world is trying to marry him to every princesses possible
but some readers still hope for the adventurer duo to be added, and the catgirl merchant too, so, maybe 9?

She’s kinda of like the princess of her father’s Dukedom since a Duke is basically like a mini king of their own land.

“Princess” could be used as a translation of “Ojou-sama” since there is no real word for “princess” in Japanese, so in the context of the language, everyone would be a “princess” that is, “young noble lady”
IF we go with European conventions every woman who is “NOT” royal family but still comes from a noble family would be called “Lady *first name*-*last name*”
It’s the constrictions of the language that make the difference in the setting and naming sense, but “technically” every lady would be and “Ōjo” in japanese, so yes, everyone from noble birth-high status is a “princess”

I’m pretty sure “お嬢様” (ojousama) just means “miss” or “young lady” (of higher standing)
Telestia is referred to as either “王女” (oujo) (which I translate as princess, because “王子” (ouji) usually means prince iirc) or “テレスティア殿下”
Silk is usually referred to as “シルク嬢” trying to remember it off the top of my head, and her official position thing would be “令嬢” iirc

Another language block then, since the Kanji and Hiragana/katakana (not sure which is it) would indicate a distinction, but ultimately most are spoken the same way??

they’re not pronounced exactly the same, but they are really similar, yes
“お嬢(様)” (ojOU(-sama))
and
“王女(様)” (OUjo(-sama))
the Kanji look totally different, but are spoken more or less the same way
Japanese has some sets of Kanji that are spoken exactly the same but mean different things, but I don’t know any off the top of my head, so just Google it if you’re interested

I wouldn’t be surprised if he already achieved immortality… I can only see SSS rank monsters and that evil god being able to damage him (he avoids every single attack, but I bet they don’t matter with his unmeasurable hp and resistance skills…)
